English Diamond Jubilee Patent Dispatch Box by Allibhoy Vallijee & Sons, 1897
About the Item
Black painted and gilt banded steel dispatch box with interior fitted for writing. The case has a lock, brass reinforced corners, and the sides are mounted with cast brass bail handles. The interior is painted celadon green and is mounted with a cast Jubilee seal of the manufacturer. The case is mounted on a custom forged iron stand.
Anglo-Indian, 1897.
Stamped and numbered box 2745 on interior seal.
