Hans Gustav Ehrenreich '1917-84' Scandinavian Modern Cigar Box in Rosewood

About the Item

Along with Alfred Klitgaard and Knud Albert Furniture-maker, and Artist Hans Gustav Ehrenreich is regarded as one of the most prolific Scandinavian designers of the 1960s. Although HGE is mostly known for his series of Hoptimist this rare box leaves no stones unturned when it comes to quality and design simplicity. Its made from solid Rosewood and has a flush lid with integrated handle. It is suitable for storing cigarets, cigars, jewelry, watches or playing cards etc. It was made in HGE own workshop during the early 1960s. Its imprinted Ehrenreich Denmark. It was commissioned by Hobson of Denmark. Also imprinted to its back. Measurements: 13.5x11.5x43.5cm. Please notice that this item is made from east Indian rosewood and therefor its not under restriction from Cites and can be sold worldwide.
