Japanese Antique Paper Covered Wooden Box, Late 19th Century

About the Item

Old box made of cedar wood covered with paper. It is from around the Meiji era (1868-1912). Details of what it is used for are unknown, but it is a perfect item for creating a wabi-sabi space, which is rare to find.
