Piet Zwart (1885-1977) was a Dutch photographer, typographer, and industrial designer.

The resolution of complex communication systems was his primary concern and his greatest achievement. He was influenced by the artistic avant-garde, be it Cubism, Futurism, Dadaism, Constructivism, De Stijl. But it did not belong in an integral or exponential way of any.
