Large Gold Candy Box 18th Century
About the Item
Large and circular box featuring two shades of gold. The removable lid is embellished with detailed, concentric lines and with a central medallion representing a dove flying over a flower basket and a quiver on amati gold background. The body of the box carries this same decoration. Intricate friezes of stylized foliage in colored gold on a matte background highlight the frame of the box.
