Pair of 19th Century Napoleon III Inlaid Marble Mantle Girondoles
About the Item
Pair of fine candelabra from the Napoleon III period. Each a tapered pilaster of white marble inlaid with verte and noir stone, set upon an octagonal, graduated plinth. A gilt-bronze lion's mask and ring decorate the center of each column, surmounted by an acroterium finial, and set upon paw feet. Double scrolling candlearms ending with foliate bobeches decorated with faceted crystal pendulum drops, ending in urn-form candlepots.
