Pair of French 19th Century Louis XV St. Bronze and Ormolu Candelabra Lamps
About the Item
A stunning and most impressive true pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. patinated bronze and ormolu candelabra lamps. Each ten arm lamp is raised by an exceptionally well executed base with beautiful scrolled foliate designs and large acanthus leaves centering a smooth central family crest cabochon and elegantly curved central support. At the center is a charming and intricately detailed patinated bronze statue of a boy draped in a beautiful flowing garment with a young boy seated at his side while he is seemingly holding up a woven basket on his head from where the arms above are growing out. Each of the stunning arms above is adorned with impressive richly chased acanthus leaves with lovely floral accents leading to beautiful floral bobeches and candle cups.
