Pair of Italian 18th Century Giltwood and Gilt Metal Tuscan Candelabras
About the Item
A very unique and large scale pair of Italian 18th century giltwood and gilt metal Tuscan candelabras. Each stunning twelve candle candelabra is raised by patinated paw shaped feet. The central patinated support is adorned with giltwood bands and large carved acanthus leaves. The twelve scrolled arms protrude on two levels, from a gilt metal tier, ending with giltwood accented bobeches. The arms are joined by glass garlands centered by pendants. From the central tier are glass garlands that continue up to the lovely gilt metal top crown with acanthus leaf spray accented with glass pendants. All original patina and gilt throughout.
