Pair Of Louis XV Style Ormolu Five-Light Candelabras, 20th Century
About the Item
A striking and high quality pair of French 20th century Louis XV st. ormolu candelabras. Each five arm candelabra is raised by a beautiful pierced base with a scalloped octogonal shape, fine scrolled foliate feet, beautiful central leaf and elegantly curved support with a most decorative clover lattice pattern. The central supports display unique and most decorative baseball bat design leading up to the arms. Each of the arms displays a beautiful scrolled foliate movement and are adorned with large acanthus leaves leading to richly chased and finely detailed foliate candlecups and floral bobeches. . All original gilt throughout.
