1900s French Bronze Art Nouveau Clary Sage Leaf with Gilt Flower Candlestick

About the Item

Very pretty and heavy bronze French Art Nouveau clary sage (Salvia Sclarea) leaf and plant stem with bronze gilt styled flower in which a candle fits. Fits up to a Ø 5.7cm diameter candle. I think real leafs where used to make the moulds in which the bronze leafs where cast. They are very realistic and detailed. Very decorative and highly collectable, this would look great on top of a stack of books.

  • Early 1900s French Neoclassical Oval Brass Jewellery Box with Agate Moth Decor

Very pretty and heavy early 1900s Neo-Classical oval brass jewellery box with 2 moth decorations carved in agate. The figures on the (I think machine made repoussé) side look like from Roman times. The middle-eastern little tent shaped lid feels very Moorish, also the round glass 'gem stone' decorations look like the decoration on antique Moorish jewellery...
