Behold the elegance of this Italian Renaissance style gilt bronze & marble putti on crocodile candlestick from the late 19th century. Standing at 10 inches in height, this gilt bronze masterwork draws inspiration from the works and style of Italian sculptor Giambologna. The candlestick portrays a naked putto with raised arms, supporting a grape-encrusted cornucopia candle bobehce atop a crocodile with an open mouth and a wrapped tail, whilst his four legs resting on orbs.
