Pair of 19th C Adam Style Sheffield Candle Holders Inscribed Thos Wilson Sons Co

About the Item

Fashioned in the Adam style with tapering stems and beaded edges these fine Sheffield cansle sticks are both inscribed on the bases 'Thos. Wilson Sons Co' Thomas Wilson was a silver smith in Sheffield in the late 19th and early 20th century. They are made of silver on copper. There is also the possibility that the inscriptions refer to a shipping company of this time bearing that name.
