Pair of Mogens Ballin Bronze Candlesticks Model B12

About the Item

Pair of rare Danish Arts and Crafts Candlesticks in solid bronze by Mogens Ballin Model B12, Denmark Early 1900’s. The candlesticks are both stamped with the MB monogram which dates them to before 1907 which was the year that Mogens Ballin handed over the workshop and it changed name to Hertz and Ballin, both of the candlesticks are also stamped with B12 which indicates that they are made of bronze. Because they carry the MB stamp and not the HB stamp makes them more of a collectors item. The top of the candlesticks can be removed which makes it easier to clean them. This model of candlesticks can be seen on page 177 in the book about Mogens Ballin called Mogens Ballin Værksted, the book was published by Vejen Kunst Museum in 2010 when they also had the Mogens Ballin exhibition.

Pair of candlesticks model #12 by Space Copenhagen for GUBI. With its simple yet elegant silhouette, the candlestick by Space Copenhagen unifies the Industrial materials of burnished steel and dark antique brass. Each piece is presented in a high-quality cardboard gift box with a ribbon loop in the lid to ensure that receiving one feels just as special as lighting one. A sculptural object even when not in use, the candlestick can be used as a striking singular object or, given its three different heights, arranged in groups. Multiple candlesticks in a long line down the center of a dining table, or in a cube formation on a windowsill, work well in formal spaces. More playful, informal arrangements, such as a cluster of the three different heights on a coffee table or just one or two on a nightstand, suit more casual environments. Start by collecting a few and add to them over time, embracing the flexibility of the design. Price is per pair. Available in three sizes or individually. Available in unlimited quantities.
