Swedish Sunflower Crystal Candlesticks Collection by Göran Wärff for Kosta Boda
About the Item
This is the Swedish 12 pieces Sunflower candlesticks collection by the glass artist Göran Wärff for Kosta Boda Glasbruk.
It comes with 12 crystal pieces in different sizes and shapes that brings to mind the stout stem of a sunflower, crowned by a sprouting flower there the center forms the candle holder.
The glass mass is transparent and very bright and the light makes, especially in sunlight, all the colors of the rainbow visible.
This beautiful series of candlesticks was designed in the 1970s.

Göran Wärff (1933-2022) studied architecture in Braunschwrig 1956-58 and arts and crafts in Ulm 1958-59. He also studied painting in London.
Lots of beautiful series, unique objects, public works of art and adornment have come from his hands over the years.
Sunflower, Polar, Krinolin, Seaside and so on, is some of his popular series.
1976 he designed decorations for the House of Opera in Sydney.
