A fine Art Deco silver gilt and blue guilloche enamel boudoir clock by Asprey's

About the Item

A magnificent boudoir clock in silver and blue guilloche enamel by the Crown jewellers Asprey. The superb engine turned wavy guilloche enamel in mint condition. Of domed top form the lovely enamel covers both sides and the dome top and in a thin band surrounding the large clear dial, the glass is beveled, a sign of quality. The silver dial of typical Art Deco design signed Asprey and Co Ltd London W, and marked at the bottom Swiss made. The silver dial is also stamped on the backplate 'Stern Freres Argent' and with 925 silver content mark and London import mark. The numerals in arabic in green, and the hands in green enamel. The superb Swiss jewelled, integral key wound 8 day movement with gold balance to the lever escapement. The underside of case with silver import marks for London 1922, sponsor marks 'A.G.R' , silver content mark 925 and numbered 2312.

    An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Swiss silver and pink enamel miniature boudoir clock; an addition to our silver timepiece collection. This exceptional antique Swiss silver miniature boudoir clock has a plain rectangular form. The surface of this impressive antique clock is embellished with impressive pink guilloche enamel panels, framed with plain broad sterling silver borders. The upper portion of the enamel clock is fitted with an angular carrying handle. The enamel dial of the clock is ornamented with black hour numerals, encircled with plain black chapter ring of minute markers and fitted with shaped pink hands.
