Empire Mahogany Grandfather Clock, early 19th Century

About the Item

Large Empire grandfather clock with a mahogany-veneered case in the shape of a lyre. The grandfather clock stands on a chest with three drawers and diamond-shaped fillings. Above it rises the lyre-shaped pendulum case with strings out of wooden bars and fire-gilded applications. The case is also surrounded by fine thread inlays. The round movement case with enamel dial and Arabic hours forms the final touch.
