Vintage Colonial Zeeland Grandfather Weight Driven Clock
About the Item
Decorative piece. We were only able to make it work for a few minutes. It will chime with a beautiful Westminster chime melody if the hands are moved manually. Possibly, after servicing the clock will start working again, however most likely the movement will need to be replaced.
This weight-driven floor clock was manufactured by Colonial Zeeland of Michigan. We approximate the date of manufacture as 1960's.
The Model # 1737, the Movement # 132 and the Dial # DM.
The case is in good original condition, with original glass, pendulum and three weights.
Our best guess that the case is made of either birch or maple. It has a distressed look and a standard wear. There are no visible cracks or damages.
This clock is about 70" high, 15" wide and has a depth of about 9" .
