About the Item

Antique patinated bronze and ormolu figurative mantel clock by Dasson French, 1888 Measures: Height 30cm, width 30cm, depth 13cm This fine mantel clock is by the celebrated maker Henry Dasson. The clock features an off-centre design: to the right side sits the cylindrical gilt bronze drum, which contains a circular enamel dial and is topped by a cockerel sculptural surmount. To the left of the drum reclines a patinated bronze putto, who holds in one hand a gilt bronze sheet of paper and in the other a gilt bronze pencil.
