French Brass Mantel Clock With Painted Enamel Dial

About the Item

French brass gilded mantel clock with four turned pilasters surmounted by a stepped dome top with central finial and standing on a raised moulded plinth. Beautiful enamel painted dial with Arabic numerals Original 'blued' steel hands and a scene of young lovers fishing on a river bank. Eight day French movement with anchor escapement striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong, C.1910.
