Victorian Mahogany Mantel Clock

About the Item

Late Victorian mahogany mantel clock in a dome top case line inlaid with satinwood stringing and bordered with chequered ebony and satinwood. Standing on a raised plinth and resting on turned brass feet. Turned brass pillars to either side of the enamel dial with Arabic numerals. Eight day French movement marked for Samuel Marti, Paris also for W.B & Fils, striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong. C.1870.
