Very elegant Art Deco Style letter holder with rounded graphic shapes, from the 1940s.
Made of solid burl wood (not veneer), which is a rare growth of the trunk.
The wood essence is very most likely thuya on that piece, which was a typical material for desk accessories in the 1940s.
Its shape consists of 4 half-spheres, with increasingly larger diameters. There are 3 slots for storing letters, documents, and slim books.
The letter holder would look very chic on a desk, while allowing for a tidy and stylish workspace !
