Grey & Co Silver From our Accessories collection, we are pleased to offer this Antique English Silver & Tortoiseshell Inkwell. The Inkwell of globular shape with a quilt cut glass body mounted with a circular silver and tortoiseshell lid. The inkwell sits inside an oval shaped tortoiseshell base with a scrolling silver mount. The Silver is hallmarked to the GY & Co for Grey and Co, Sterling Silver, London and is Dated 1907 late Victorian, Art Nouveau period. The desk set is like to have been retailed at Asprey & Co of London as Grey & Co were known suppliers to Asprey for their silver accessories. Measurements (inches) 3.54 High x 7.09 Wide x 4.92 Deep Grey & Co founded in London by William Grey in 1876, they were noted for their novelties in silver and were regular suppliers to Asprey & Co London.
