Arts & Crafts Sculptural Owl Forged Iron Inkwell by Goberg Hugo Berger Antique

About the Item

Fantastic hand-forged Arts & Crafts figural Inkwell in shape of an owl, believed to be made by Goberg ~ 1900. The owl is made of forged iron with a lovely patina and bears yellow glass eyes. The head is hinged to get access to the inkwell and the book-like socle has a small drawer probably to storage stamps or fountain pens nibs. This item is a really highly decorative masterpiece and a great addition to any collection of antique inkwells and owl sculptures.
