Danish 18th Century Blue Faience Inkwell by Store Kongensgade
About the Item
Rare Danish blue and white faience ink stand by Johan Ernst Pfau for Store Kongensgade Faience Manufactory, Copenhagen Denmark circa 1740. This inkwell retain with its original ink and sand jars. The inkwell is signed by Johan Ernst Pfau, who was the director and in charge of the factory from 1728.
This almost 300 year old inkwell by Store Kongensgade is in amazing condition and rarely offered for sale. The David Collection and the Danish National Museum both have similar inkwell on display.
