A Magnificent Monumental Austrian Bronze Inkwell & Blotter Set.
About the Item
still has its original glass insert. The blotter is adorned with a male grouse strutting his wonderful plumage. Both pieces are signed F. Gornik, and bear a foundry mark. The patina is appropriately aged and undisturbed. Friederich Gornik is a well listed artist. ( Benezit, Artnet, Davenports, etc,) Schooled in Vienna. He is most recognized for his realistic depiction of animals and wildlife. The blotter measurements are H 4.75' L 6.5' D 4.25'. Both are in pristine condition.
