About the Item

A Chinese carved bamboo and hardwood brush pot. This large boldly carved Chinese brush pot is made from bamboo with a hardwood rim and foot. It is carved with good detail with a continuous scene of a large group of figures gathered together either seated or standing amongst a rock landscape with trees and mountains. This piece is in good condition with a good patination and colour. Chinese Republican period, circa 1920 Dimensions: W 14 cm (5.5") x D 14 cm (5.5") x H 17.5 cm (6.9").
