Gilded Age Silver-Plated and Crystal Writing Desk Set
About the Item
The antique silver-on-copper and crystal pen and ink desk set is composed a footed tray with two indentations for feathered pens or writing instruments, two lidded ink bottles with brass hinges attached to brass rims at the openings. There is a centre container for wax and a small candleholder as a lid for melting the wax to seal letters.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. The rim of the candle holder has one blemish and one padded foot is bent in. The copper rim of one bottle is bent in just near the hinge. The glass is perfect.
