French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Small Scale Statue/Paperweight
About the Item
A most charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Rouge Royale marble small scale statue/paperweight, signed F. Costa. The statue is raised by an oval Rouge Royale base with a mottled border and a fine bottom ormolu fillet. Above are two richly chased ormolu cherubs kissing one another while draped in a flowing fabric. Lovely subject matter.
