About the Item
A very fine vintage Italian volterra alabaster marble “pomme d’or” apple with bronze stem, by Ducceschi, hand-carved in Italy circa late 1960s. The apple itself is a fine golden caramel tone with tinges of rouge, while the bronze leaf is expertly crafted in finest detail - note the veins in the leaf and the careful zigzag edge. A fine specimen of vintage Italian marble objets and perfect as a paperweight, or simply an objet d’art.
