French 19th Century Louis XVI Ormolu Frame
About the Item
A uniquely shaped and most elegant French 19th century Louis XVI ormolu frame, that accommodates three pictures. The frame is raised by four curved legs with a 'Coeur de Rai' design. The two rectangular shaped frames are flanked by 'C' scrolled acanthus leaves. Above the rectangular frames is a single oval frame below a central top crest. Richly chased throughout with exceptional detail.
