20th Century Hivo Van Teal Signed Lucite Modernist Abstract Sculpture

About the Item

This modernist Hivo Van teal clear Lucite sculpture features two thick four-sided curved arm-like forms which terminate in sharp points. The arms are approximate mirror images of each other and are positioned side by side with their bodies angled towards one another so that they cross over. The arms have a highly reflective quality and are mounted on an oval plinth which bears the artist signature on the surface, best seen in photo 10. The plinth has a tapered edge and is finished with four clear rounded feet on the bottom which are designed to protect the surface on which the piece is displayed. This modernist Van Teal modernist Lucite sculpture displays beautifully and is nicely sized for placement on a table or desk. A striking piece.
