About the Item

Emma De Sigaldi (1910-2010) This unique sculpture "Fruit" from Emma De Sigaldi is made of Italian or Portuguese bright "salmon" colored marble. The weight is over 17 kg. Signed on the bottom: "De Sigaldi ". Documented in her Book : Emma de Sigaldi , Sculptures 1960 - 2000. Emma De Sigaldi is born as Emma Lackner in Karlsruhe, Germany and died nearly 100 years old 2010 in Monaco. When she was young, she was a primaballerina in Munich before she married the Earl De Sigaldi and moved to Monaco. There she started a second very successful career as a sculptor, where she produced many works of the Principality of Monaco: "diver" of the basin or "life pillar" of the place of the mills. Her career has been international with exhibitions in Paris, São Paulo, Seville, Hong Kong, Milan, Rome, Florence, Chiba and Osaka, Berlin, Prague and St. Petersburg, where she received numerous awards. Wonderfully strong but friendly freeform with a slight tendency to figuration. Many possibilities of interpretation are possible. In best condition.
