Furie - Vadim Garine

About the Item

Furie is an artpiece made in 2019 by Vadim Garine. The weaving of gilded paper with copper leaf technique is used to create this sculpture. Dimensions: 84.25"x 16.92" About the artist: Vadim Garine was born in 1970 in the Tian-Chan, foothills of the Himalayas on the border of China and Kazakhstan. His meeting with Archimandrite Zenon, an internationally renowned iconographer monk, is crucial in his artistic life. He acquired from him a knowledge of different ancestral techniques, including tempera, encaustic, gilding. In 1996, Vadim Garine moved to France. The school of art restoration has allowed him to enrich his knowledge of ancestral techniques and he opened his own workshop of creation and restoration. From 1999 to 2005, Vadim, while restoring the gilding of the Cathedral of Chambéry, he received his first order of icon (4m high) for the church of Colombier Sonnieux, then for the church of Megève. He began to paint 700m2 frescoes of the church of the monastery of St Michel du Var (which he will complete in 2017), and the chapel of the Transfiguration of Entrecasteaux (Var). He teaches at the Philocalia Institute. He exhibits personal and contemporary works in galleries with supports such as wood, vegetable weaves, paint, cardboard, gilding, aluminum. Anne Jacquemin Sablon Gallery The gallery Anne Jacquemin Sablon opened to public in 2015 is dedicated for contemporary applied art and design showcasing a curated collection of furniture, lighting, accessories and art. The gallery is located in a unique historical space of a 1920’s fashion boutique in the center of Paris that has been later on renovated to respond the needs of a contemporary art gallery. Most of the interior pieces have been designed by renowned French architects such as Tristan Auer, Thierry Lemaire and Maxime Old but the gallery represents as well the emerging and rising artists of the French art scene, for example Denis Perrollaz and Vadim Garine. The gallery works closely with interior designers on high-end projects and has proudly executed a collaboration for the hotel Crillon in Paris. Insuring their presence on a global scale, partnerships with Holly Hunt of North America and prestigious showrooms and galleries of Asia are highly valued as well as important for the promotion of French Design. Every piece of furniture represented is made in French ateliers aiming to reach the perfection. The gallery’s pure and timeless aesthetic and taste had been developed during the 10 years the founder Anne spent at Christian Liaigre. She aims to find a way to facilitate and counsel the creative process of the artist by directing them for the best ateliers with the finest materials, such as pure iron, in order to help the creator achieve the highest quality result possible. The gallery is besides offering exclusive services for their customers : such as customizing and made-to-measure options assuring the high quality of the pieces and to model the excellence of craftsmanship. To ensure a succeeded interior decoration, the gallery also gives counseling services for their clients and art collectors and can provide an entire constructional interior plan accompanied with the art pieces and furniture made to measure for the space meeting the needs of the customer.
