Vintage italian Murano glass abstract sculpture with spikes on display base

About the Item

Offered here is an uncommon and interesting abstract sculpture crafted in solid Murano glass in the sixties. Reminescent of marine animals or astronomical shapes, it is a fascinating piece for any discerning enthusiast. The smooth and massive body of the sculpture is originally glued to a translucent base in solid frosted glass that makes it extremely stable. The neutral color of the base emphasizes the different shdes of the sculpture itself, ranging from black to grey to yellow. It shows minor signs of age, common on glass decorative objects of this age, but has a very strong presence and a great charisma granted to liven up and refinish any interior space.

Condition:

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. One corner of the base shows the sign of a blow. Two minor scuff marks are present on the body of the sculpture and are highlighted in a picture. They measure few millimeters each and less than one centimeter together.
