Wild Clay Colour from Stones Sculpture Silo, Burnished Clay from the Mountains

About the Item

Silo is a sculpture that bases its beauty on the material in which it is made. Made of wild clay from the Mixteca mountains, this clay is cleaned in filters for 20 days before being molded by hand, polished with crushed red stone to obtain this color and burned with firewood. Once the piece is burned, a layer of liquid beeswax is applied to add a unique shine and texture that reflect the nature of the material and its marks from the manual process for its elaboration. Silo takes the form of a seed that once placed vertically is an obelisk.
