Wrought and Welded Iron Sculpture by Frans De Boer Lichtveld

About the Item

Frans de Boer Lichtveld studied sculpture at the Institute of Applied Arts Education (now Rietveld Academy) and at the Quellinus Kunstnijverheidsschool, both in Amsterdam. He made sculptures of neon, laser light, aluminum, iron structures and kinetic objects. He knew Marja Lichtveld and married her working as two individual artists. From 1970 they worked together on the same projects as the artist duo Frans and Marja de Boer – Lichtveld. De Boer and Marja de Boer Lichtveld, form an exceptional duo in Dutch art history. Provenance: Collection of Max and Suzanna Fischer.
