A very fine and opposing bronze sculpture of a Pheasant by Léon Bureau (1866-1906), the life-size figure with fine pen drawing, gold patinated bronze on floral terrain base, signed in the casting, stamp of ''Société des Bronzes de Paris''. H: 22 1/2 in / 57.2 cm ; W: 29 in / 73.7 cm ; D: 7 in / 17.8 cm Base measurements: W: 9 in / 22.8 cm ; D: 7 in / 17.8 cm Artists Biography: Sculptor, born in Limoges on September 17, 1866 died in the same city on May 26, 1906. French School, student of the school of Fine arts workshop Falguière. French artist well-known for animal genre.
