Art Nouveau French Patinated Terracotta Dove on a Bespoke Stand

About the Item

Art Nouveau large French patinated terracotta sculpture of doves on a bespoke bronze stand. The doves are beautifully crafted and their style is representative of the artistically fertile Art Nouveau period before or after the Great War. The sculpture can also be wall mounted if preferred. Please note there are areas of historic damage to the base, an area of the ribbon is missing. This was purchased by ourselves in Paris some 20 years ago from an important French dealer and we have never seen an example since. This charming sculpture may well have been mounted on the exterior of a grand Parisian building. France circa 1920s.
