We present you with this wonderful piece - Remington's 1905 copyrighted sculpture group, featuring five horses and four riders – two American cavalrymen and two Plains Indians – showcases the intense hand-to-hand combat between Dragoons and Plains Indians. While accurately depicting the Dragoons' military dress and equipment, this reproduction of Remington's representation of the Indians reflects the tribes he encountered in the West during the 1880s and 1890s. The sculpture, known as "The Old Dragoons," was so intricate that only three casts were made during Remington's lifetime.
This handmade bronze, created through the lost-wax casting, guarantees the highest quality.
