Dino Martens Murano Black White Gold Leaf Base Italian Art Glass Bird Sculpture
About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown black and white ribbons Italian art glass water bird sculpture on gold leaf base. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, and published in his book (see last photo), circa 1954. It is a slight variation on model number 5905, in "Half filigree" technique. The blue on the beak matches the blue eyes on the bird. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table, credenza, or in a lighted curio cabinet as part of your glass collection. midcentury era. Measures: 6 3/4" long x 4 3/4" tall x 4" wide. Sought after collectors item!
