19th Century Italian Female Terracotta Bust on Ebonized Base Signed and Dated

About the Item

This lovely and charming terracotta sculpture of a woman has narrow proportion and is signed by M. Zamoiejski G.B.R and dated Florence, 19 March 1894. The sculptor indicated both the place where he created his work of art and the complete date, this is enchanting! This little terracotta figurine is extremely detailed and all is so careful executed. The woman with her hair up is very sophisticated, the sensible and reliable facial expression is very well shaped. The female figure is dressed with a blouse and a classic jacket closed by a button shaped as a Lily or fleur-de-lis, the flower symbol of Florence. The lower part of this bust is enriched by roses that framed the sculpture. The bust rest on a black ebonized hand carved wood socle. Perfect condition, beautiful antique patina. Measures: Height 20 cm, width 10 cm, depth 6 cm.
