An exquisite French patinated bronze Herm Bust of Emperor Napoleon I, circa 1820 After Canova (1757–1822). Mounted on a solid square bronze and green marble base. Extremely fine quality sculpture. Signed Canova and has a foundry mark (unclear). Further marked "Bronze Paris" (see photos). Measures: 15" high x 8.5" wide x 7.5" deep. Very good condition. Ready to place. Antonio Canova was the most celebrated neoclassical artist in Europe.
