Collection of Italian Specimen Marble Spheres on Stands
About the Item
This three-piece grouping of specimen marble spheres can be sold as the group or as a pair ( the left and right are a pair or as a single in the middle) and a single. The marble is dramatically veined in the case of the ocher-colored spheres or completely unveined as is the case with the black sphere thou it is set up on a finely veined marble socle. Such spheres were popular objects throughout the history of Italy as examples of marble from different regions as well as prized examples or geometry and craftsmanship in hard stone. As a group, the set is $2875.00 however broken up into a pair and a single they are priced at $2200.00 for the pair( 8 inches in diameter and 13 tall) and $950.00 for the single ( 7.5 inches in diameter and 11 tall)
