About the Item
18th century Italian distressed gold leaf angel wing with golden calcite crystals on an antique Italian metal pan drip tray. These calcite crystals are from Elmwood Mine, Tennessee which is known for producing some of the world’s finest crystallized calcite. These calcite crystals are unequaled by those from any other part of the world (featured in American Mineral Treasures, pg. 337). The angel wing is from a church in Liguria, Italy. The Italian antique metal drip tray is from a large alter candlestick that has been recreated for the base.
