Le Temoin or The Witness is a beautiful object that catches 'the eye'. le Temoin can be used as a beautiful sculptural piece of art but it is a sofa at the same time. The condition is very good, besides some (tiny) spots and light traces of usage, see picture #17 (light stripe at the bottom) and two kind of light unevenness in the suface (#12). Also a hardly visible little spot on the pupil (#8).

Wood covered with leatherette and silk-screen printing methacrylate decoration. The maquette comes from a box of biscuits.
The witness is an eye that looks at you with insistence, it is an intrusive presence; you turn it around and it suddenly become an unexpected small couch.
Part of the Ultramobile operation conceived by Dino Gavina in 1971 with the aim of adapting in a surprising way the surrealist object to daily use, making a poetic presence enter our homes.
