About the Item

This is an engaging and intense artwork created by the well known Italian artist Giuseppe Bergomi in 1995. This is a bronze sculpture made by the technic of lost wax bronze and with hand made patina. His title is " Davanti al mare" translated in " In front of the sea". The talent of the artist is visible on the face of the bronze. It seems a real figure, there is a real expression on his face Giuseppe Bergomi was born in Brescia, Italy, in 1953. He attended the Accademia of Brera. In 1978 he started to create full time his artworks in painted multicolor terracotta and then, starting from 1989, he works on the bronze sculpture. He create and used a unique techic to add color to the bronze, and so he created sculpture that have a kind of softness, in contrast with the hard material like the bronze. From the 1982 he exhibited in many important Italian Art Galleries and abroad. In 2002 he created and important artwork for the town of Nagoya in Japan. The artwork is signed on the base of the sculpture and it will be delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity
