A bronze study of Van Dyck, Signed Salmson
A superbly detailed fine cast bronze study of Van Dyck by the French sculptor Jean Jules Salmson (1823-1902).
Salmson regularly exhibited his work at the Salon in Paris from 1859 and worked on numerous commissions including statues of Shakespeare, Hamlet, Rubens and as in this case Van Dyck.
This bronze study is in good condition with original patina.
Dimensions: W 11 cm (4.3") x D 11 cm (4.3") x H 21 cm (8.3").
