19th Century French Bronze Of A Polo Player, Joseph Cuvelier, c.1870

About the Item

Antique 19th Century French bronze of of a polo player signed J Cuvelier and cast and inscribed to base by H Lippens & CIE. Cuvelier began exhibiting at the Paris Salon in 1867, and exhibited this model of a polo player there as well other bronzes. His career was unfortunately cut short as he was killed in action only three years later, defending Paris in 1870. CONDITION In Great Condition - No Damage. SIZE Height: 42cm Width: 38cm Depth: 16cm
