A very good quality late 19th century Carrera marble statue of a young street seller, selling newspapers. Measures: 197cm (77.5") high including column. Entitled; Un giornalista (A journalist) Mounted on a Breche Violette marble pedestal. Signed 'Dagnini Achille, dated to the newspaper '1888', titled 'UN GIORNALISTA Dagnini Achille (ITALIAN, FL. LATE 19TH CENTURY).
