Guardian angel
Polychrome wood carving.
Height: 115 cm.
Of Cantabrian origin from the city of Trasmiera. It belonged to a private chapel to which it gave its name as the Chapel of the Angel. This work, made in the second quarter of the 17th century, follows Mannerist models, like the guardian angel of the Cathedral of Brugos, who carries a model of the city in his left hand.
